The gypsum boards currently produced in my country mainly include decorative gypsum boards, paper-faced gypsum boards, embedded decorative gypsum boards, perforated gypsum boards for sound absorption, hollow gypsum strips, and fiber gypsum boards.
1. Paper-faced gypsum boards
Paper-faced gypsum boards are a kind of lightweight board with gypsum slurry as the core and paper as the surface on both sides. Ordinary paper-faced gypsum boards are used for interior walls, partitions and ceilings. Water-resistant paper-faced gypsum boards that have been treated with fireproofing can be used for walls in rooms with high humidity, such as toilets, kitchens, bathrooms, etc.
Detailed explanation of material selection: High-quality paper-faced gypsum board materials are imported log pulp paper, which is light and thin, high in strength, smooth on the surface, stain-free, long in fiber, and good in toughness. Inferior paper-faced gypsum boards use paper produced from domestic recycled pulp, which is heavier and thicker, has poorer strength and a rougher surface. Oil spots can sometimes be seen on the surface of the gypsum board, and it is easy to crack. The quality of the paper surface also directly affects the decorative performance of the gypsum board surface. The surface of a good paper-faced gypsum board can be directly painted, while the surface of a poor paper-faced gypsum board must be fully painted before the final decoration can be done.
① Fireproof paper-faced gypsum board
The board is made of building gypsum as the main raw material and added with special fireproof materials. When a fire occurs, this board maintains structural integrity (in the building structure) for a certain period of time, thereby delaying the collapse of the gypsum board, blocking the spread of the fire, and extending the fire prevention time. The board is added with glass fiber and other additives during the production process, which can effectively enhance the integrity of the board when it encounters fire.
② Waterproof paper-faced gypsum board
The gypsum board core and the face paper are waterproofed, and the surface water absorption is not more than 160 grams, and the water absorption rate does not exceed 10%. It is suitable for use in places where the continuous relative humidity does not exceed 95% (such as: toilets, bathrooms, etc.).
2. Decorative gypsum board
Decorative gypsum board is made of building gypsum as the main raw material. It is a new type of interior decoration material with realistic color and pattern, novel and generous, suitable for medium and high-end decoration.
3. Embedded decorative gypsum board
It is made of building gypsum as the main raw material, mixed with appropriate amount of fiber reinforcement material and admixture, mixed with water into a uniform slurry, cast and dried to form a board without face paper. The back of the board is thickened on all four sides and has an embedded tongue and groove. The front of the board can be flat, with holes or with relief patterns.
4. Perforated gypsum board for sound absorption
It is a board with certain sound absorption characteristics, with embedded decorative gypsum board with a certain number of penetrating holes as the panel, and composite sound-absorbing material on the back.
5. Hollow gypsum board
Hollow gypsum board is made of building gypsum as the main raw material. It does not need keels when installed. It is a lightweight board with relatively fast development. It is mainly used for interior walls and partitions.
6. Fiber gypsum board
Fiber gypsum board is made of building gypsum as the main raw material, mixed with an appropriate amount of fiber reinforcement material. This board has a higher bending strength than paper gypsum board and can be used for interior walls and partitions, and can also replace wood to make furniture.
